Welcome in the Chinese New Year at our fabulous Festival Launch. There’s mouth-watering food, unique entertainment and plenty of fun as Sydney’s Belmore Park transforms into a night-time market, complete with sizzling woks, dancing lions and live acts – from pop to traditional.
As evening descends, firecrackers scare off the previous year’s misfortunes in spectacular style. Catch all the excitement as the stage comes alive with performances, and our visiting delegation from Shenzhen treats Sydneysiders with special acts to celebrate the Year of the Snake.

Want more? The Chinese New Year Markets will be held right across the weekend. There’s a whole host of entertainment including dancing, martial arts, DJs, Asian Pop, Korean Rock, Karaoke, and steampunk kunf-fu action on the big screen.

Ride your bike to Belmore Park and make use of our special event bike parking. Bike racks are located at the entrance to the park on Eddy Avenue.
