Description
During the Chinese New Year Festival, the City of Sydney is proud to host the Sydney-Chengdu Business Forum 2012. The City of Sydney welcomes visitors from Chengdu as an opportunity to build cultural and economic ties with this growing Chinese city and explore areas of trade, investment and cultural exchange.
Chengdu, also known as the “Land of Abundance” is the capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China with a population of over 14 million people. According to the 2007 Public Appraisal for Best Chinese Cities for Investment, Chengdu was chosen as one of the top ten cities in China to invest in and was recently named China's 4th-most livable city by China Daily.
This forum is an opportunity to meet with Chengdu government and business leaders in specialist industries and discuss trade, investment and areas of growth. The forum will be addressed by our VIP guests, and a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the Municipal Government of Chengdu and the City of Sydney.
Bookings essential. RSVP by Friday 20 January 2012.
Places are limited and attendance is through RSVP ONLY. If you would like to attend this event please contact Sarah Trant, Economic Development Coordinator on 9265 9651 or strant@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au
